The joy of language output when you are ready

Here is the podcast.

I just decided to do a video on the joys of language output, as long as it happens when the learner wants it, and when it is not forced.

I'm laugthing alone around here... I was listening to this casually while managing some email and was got by surprise...
I think I need to record my own conversations, I've done this once or twice and got surprised, but I guess I forget these experiences very easily...
Thanks for your emphatic encouragement, anyway!

Glad to know that you have upgraded to an iPod Nano.

One thing that makes a Nano superior than a Shuffle for language learners is the display. You can stuff the texts in the 'lyrics' section and carry them around with the audio. When you are lost, you can always refer back to the texts.

Perhaps Mark and his team can look at how to embed the texts automatically in the podcasts. This would be very handy!

hi steve,

why not making russian friends at www.sharedtalk.com and chat with russian ppl and let them correct your sentences.

I've done this succesfull with chinese and currently doing the same with japanese and spanish.

Hi Steve!
if you can wait, I can record it for you in a couple days .As soon as i get my MP3 with the voice recorder.Let me know where i should upload the file.
My russian is native :)

Tiana,

That would be awesome, You can upload the file to LingQ.com if you are a member (which is free) and then you can earn points for your language learning. You Upload from the Import section. There is a Category called "Member Voices".

Otherwise it may be less trouble to send me the file. steve(@)lingq.com. But then how can I return the favour.

Did you see the first text on my previous blog post?

I'm very interested to continue to hear your journey with Russian. After 6 months of Mandarin Chinese I want to speak but I feel I shouldn't try speaking too much like you said. I too, prefer reading and listening for now.

This was one of my favorite posts of yours.

Hi Steve!
I think that more we speak with a tutor in the new language and then we import our corrected mistakes, and then we studied them, more we want to speak and more we feel the joy of speaking. I still have difficulty to express myself in Spanish, but I already have the joy of speaking. Thanks to all spanish tutors who are patient when I try to struggle with this new language. Johanne
