Where I live, a few pictures.

My area is called Eagle Harbour. I often jog in the area while listening to my languages on my iPod.

I usually start my run through Parc Verdun which has old growth trees, and even young trees growing out of old tree trunks. It has a children's park and tennis courts. Note the garbage can which is bear proof.

I often run on a wooded mountain trail with lovely views of the ocean, called the Sea Walk, but sometimes I just run around a large field. I find the grass softer on my joints.

P1010060 After 10 or 12 times around the field I may run down to Eagle Harbour beach.

very nice... but aren't you afraid of the bears?

Lol, do you also walk in a military fashion and shout at people in foreign tongues? Sorry, that was someone else :)
A lovely place.

Shane

A beautiful place! Canada rocks.

Ana

Wow, that's a piece of paradise...
Much better than classrooms, for sure!!!

I like those trees!
When I lived in Cologne, I used to go jogging in the parks, too. There are big parks everywhere in Cologne with green meadows, little lakes with water birds and forest areas.
In Tbilisi it was different because it's located in such a dry climate and my eyes were very hungry for some patch of green.
But now that I'm back in Essen we have a lot of parks and our garden, too. The hospital were I'll start to work on Monday is a little bit outside of the city, in a very beautiful scenery (it started as a hospital for tuberculosis about a hundred years ago). When I drive there, it calms me down just to look at the fields and trees.

hey Steve. Beautiful places.

I usually do some running too, and actually you gave me a nice idea, speaking about listening to languages content while doing that.

so, what exactly do you listen to on the run?
Music, news?

Best regards.

Leo,

It can range from podcast interviews ( my favourite ) to audio books of literature (more difficult to stay focused while running).
