Hello Steve!
I really wanted to come but unfortunately i wont manage. I flew from Athens back to Aberdeen two days ago and after that i got the flu. Hope there will be more LingQ events following!
It must be lots of fun in London on the Halloween day so I hope you'll enjoy it!

Too bad Steve, I wont be able to make it this time.

But I guess you don't really want to meet up with a fruitcake like me anyway! :-D

If Carlos Tevez is to fully settle into life in England then he should start having lessons in the language, according to Manchester City team mate Pablo Zabaleta.

Zabaleta, a right-back bought from Espanyol in 2008, explained that he has been adapting to English life with gradual ease as he has weekly language classes.

The 24-year-old told The Sun: "It is important. I get English lessons once a week so my language is getting better. I try, I try. I didn't speak English before I got here but I got lessons. I have told Carlos he needs to come to me for lessons.

"He sometimes does try to speak English, but it is important to learn because we need to speak with team-mates and managers and everyone.

"Plus we are living in England for the future."

Zabaleta was, however, swift to praise his fellow national: "People are happy with Carlos because he always gives 100 per cent.

"He is playing really well and he is very important."

I missed those of you who did not make it. It did meet a few LingQers and enjoyed the show. More on this later.

Thanks Igor, now to get LingQ in there.
